"Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives as parallel realities. It is our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present- love, health, family, friends, work, joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth."

Christmas Nativity

I'm a few months late posting this, but I thought I would still share the pictures.  We have done the nativity as a family the past couple of years and the kids are really starting to get into it.  I have a box of dress up stuff I have gathered over the years for various church activities that has become quite extensive and perfect for this family gathering.  I couldn't believe Alex actually wore the beard and mustache but as soon as his daddy put one on he wanted to do it.  We missed having Jolene's family there this year but our kids gladly filled the vacancies.

By the way, I don't think I ever posted the names of our kids.  Elena is 3 and Alex and Shyla are 2 (all soon to have birthdays in the next month or so).

Sledding Day

More Sledding Day

Finally some snow we can sled on this year.  After a dismal winter last year, we took advantage of the first good snow day even though we headed out late in the day.  The kids cried when mom and dad got too cold and were ready to go home, but it looks like we will have a few more days to play.

Christmas was "Chaosome"

In the words of one of my co-workers, our Christmas was "chaosome."  I have zero pictures once the unwrapping started but plenty of memories of the squeals.  It was chaos but it was awesome.
