"Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives as parallel realities. It is our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present- love, health, family, friends, work, joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth."

Grandma's Christmas Tree

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Ours was packed with family gatherings, so we are ready for a break. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures as we were running all over the place.

Thanksgiving morning, Halle helped Grandma decorate her Christmas tree with complete enthusiasm. She had a blast hanging all the balls. We forgot to move the stool so they pretty much ended up all in one spot.
And then she started playing with a little Santa Claus ornament, hanging him on different parts of the tree. At one point she put him too far into the middle and she was upset that the alligators in the tree got him. We really don't know where he went, and I am sure we won't find him until the tree comes down. Grandma had no idea she had alligators in her tree.

The next day, she helped me set up our tree. It was so fun to watch her make all the snowman ornaments talk to each other as we were getting them out. Now, before she even comes into our bedroom in the morning, she stops and turns the lights on to the tree. It's fun to see a childs pure exitement for Christmas.
