So I am changing our blog background for Valentines day and just getting to our Christmas pictures. We usually spend Christmas Eve with my family eating dinner and reading the nativity story and singing songs. This year was no different. We started the afternoon with a bit of sledding which turned out to be very cold that day, but really fun.
Halle and Dad testing out the sled.

A major biff, but it didn't matter. Halle was ready for another turn.

Turns out playground equipment is pretty slippery in the winter time too. It's a little blurry from their speed (good thing Neal was there to slow them down), but the girls had fun going down the slides several times.

And so did Papa.

Halle is giving Angie and Abbie a push.

Halle and I didn't quite make it all the way down this hill this time.

Love Abbie's expression in this one. Of course Halle is still having a blast.

Here we are getting ready to finally enjoy our wonderful warm dinner.

We usually read through the scriptures and sing Christmas hymns after dinner. Due to the small ones there, we shortened the program and Halle and Abbie were in charge of setting up the nativity as the scriptures were being read.

When we got home for our own Christmas Eve preparations, we put food on the porch for Santa's reindeer in addition to milk and cookies for Santa.

And this is just a picture of Halle in her Christmas dress. I love this color on her.
