"Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives as parallel realities. It is our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present- love, health, family, friends, work, joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth."

Unruly Orange Juice

So let me start out by saying that my life revolves around potty training right now. Taking care of an infant is a breeze compared to this in my opinion. But to herald a recent success, she actually used the toilet at the church last Sunday. This was incredible progress for us considering her fear of heights. Yes, teetering on the edge of a tall public toilet counts as being too high in her book, but she still did it. Yeah!

And now for a word of caution about the orange juice in our refrigerator. According to Halle, it jumps out and spills on the floor "all by itself."

She has apparently felt fairly liberated in her abilities to be just like a grown up now that she is using the toilet, and she is now attempting things like getting her own breakfast and finding things on the computer. I know this is probably mild in comparison to some of her cousins, but it just took us by surprise. She's trying to grow up on us.
