We have a new camera finally, and decided to go with Nikon this time instead of Canon since we heard they have much better customer service when you have problems. I can't really give you my opinion yet since I am still getting used to it, but it seems to be a pretty good camera. Here was our first test shot, which turned out pretty darn cute.

Halle has a blast when we set up her pool at the bottom of her new swingset. The first thing she does when she gets home is run to her room and put her swimsuit on. We have had some more stormy days though, so we have to take advantage of any warm days we can get before summer is gone for another year.
Here she is, freezing cold, but still playing.

And our raspberries came on like crazy this year, so we have been out picking as a family about every other night. Halle eventually decided she needed a change of scenery, so she wandered over to pick peas and told me that I needed to stay and still pick the raspberries. She likes to follow next to me and eat out of my bowl, but I finally told her that if she was going to eat any, they had to come from the vine.
The yellow boots, by the way, are standard issue for yard work. They always come on whenever we go out back despite the fact that her feet have probably outgrown them this summer. She has a thing with getting dirt on her feet, and sandals just really slow her down because she's always sitting down and taking them off to get the dirt out.

And since I realized we didn't have a picture of our house when the flowers were in full bloom, here you go. The people before us planted all kinds of colorful flowering plants in our front yard that come on at various times in the summer. There's still more I don't have in the picture. We love them and hate them at the same time because like all good things, they have to come to an end and then it's a lot of work to clean them up. But we enjoy it while it lasts.
