"Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives as parallel realities. It is our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present- love, health, family, friends, work, joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth."

Look Mom!

So we are still around, just super busy these days. I'm not exactly sure what happened to the month of September.

Anyway, Halle has been up to all sorts of creative things these days so this post is dedicated to her and the wonderful imagination she was born with.

This was her first entry in her "journal." Every night when we check on her before we go to bed, we pull out piles of books or toys from under her covers and often from under her. One night I pulled out this magnadoodle and discovered at a brief glance that it actually looked like something. So I saved it and asked her about it the next morning. She said she was writing in her journal and that she made a picture of her family. You may not be able to tell from the picture, but to us it was amazing. The more incredible part of the story is that she was doing it by the light of a night light.

This train is a Melissa and Doug train that comes apart and goes back together like a puzzle. She plays with it quite a bit but always needs help when its time to put it away. So I was doing dishes one night and she squealed in surprise. She had just amazed herself that she did it right all by herself.
She also discovered a way to make a "tent" for herself by putting a blanket over her umbrella (in case you can't tell from the picture.) We discovered her having conversations with a doll under there.
