"Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives as parallel realities. It is our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present- love, health, family, friends, work, joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth."

Water Play

We try to take advantage of every moment we can in the summer to play in the water around here. Here are some pictures of backyard water playtime from the past month.

First day filling up the pool. We filled it up on Friday night so they could play in it on Saturday, but it was too tempting to get their feet wet because they had been waiting soooo long for this day. "There's just a little water in the bottom, Mom. I won't get my clothes w . . . . !"

And whatever Halle tries, Dillon will follow - even if she does look uncomfortable and cold.
What the heck. Might as well keep playing now.
These two will spend many hours playing together. Here they are just taking a break from the water for a moment one evening.
Dillon inspired Halle to figure out how to really get high on the swing by herself. She was so excited, but yet jealous at the same time because he also knows how to kick his feet up on the bar - another trick she's been attempting but hasn't figured out yet.

They both seem to push each other to learn or do things they normally wouldn't try by themselves. It's been really good for both of them.

Here's another day for water with friends to play with this time.
This picture has nothing to do with water play other than Neal was working in the crawl space while they were outside playing. Halle came in and found out where he was and disappeared into her bedroom. A few minutes later, she was dressed and ready to go to "work" with Dad, as you can see by the socks and boots.

Her look pretty much tells all. I told her he was almost done so she probably wouldn't get to go down with him.
