"Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives as parallel realities. It is our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present- love, health, family, friends, work, joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth."

Two Cuties and a Cat

Dillon loves to wear his church clothes on Sunday. He's doing so well learning the Primary songs and participating in class. He also follows along with the hymns in sacrament meeting.

They wanted me to get a picture of them all dressed up one Sunday, and they really are pretty darn cute kids.

I then gave the camera to Dillon while I was getting ready, and among all the random photos of furniture, he caught this one. I chuckle when I see it because if you don't know how to read cat body language, DaNalli has one ear on Halle who is behind the table, and one ear on Dillon who is taking the picture. She is ever-plotting her escape should she need it.

Dillon is really sweet with her though. She is very jumpy and skittish, especially with kids, but will accept affection if you don't approach her too quickly. It takes literally every ounce of effort Dillon has to suppress his ADHD instincts and approach her slowly and quietly just so he can pet her. He succeeds several times a day though, which is truly amazing to me.
